Coraline is a fashionable and fun sweater that will be comfortable practically year-round in Louisiana. Brittany is a beautiful DK weight yarn made of 38% Silk, 31% Cotton, and 31% Viscose so it is soft and breathable.

Sock Knitting Class, $60 (total for all 3 class meetings)

  • Saturday, March 8 - 10:30 - 11:30
  • Cast on one sock using your choice of magic loop method or double point needles.
  • Saturday, March 15 - 10:30 - 12:30
  • Turn the heel flap.
  • Saturday, March 22 - 10:30 - 11:30
  • Close the toe with Kitchener stitch.

Sign up early as space is limited. Deposit required. Supplies are to be purchased at Bayou Yarn Shoppe.

This shawl starts with a simple garter-stitch triangle. When the triangle is deep enough, leaves begin to grow down the center in a field of stockinette. The shawl finishes with a ribbon of garter stitch with pretty eyelet accents.


Although the pattern calls for aran-weight yarn, you can easily substitute worsted or DK. Just choose an appropriate needle size and repeat the lace rows until you are happy with the dimensions.
